Uganda & Rwanda
Why choose Uganda?
Uganda is one of Africa's most enchanting countries with an abundance of beautiful wildlife including the amazing lowland gorillas, chimpanzees and plains game of the Queen Elizabeth National Park .

The highlight of any stay in Uganda is to take a gorilla safari, either in the Bwindi Impenetrable or the Mgahinga Volcanoes ; both of which are in the south western corner of the country. This involves hiking for up to four hours through dense tropical rainforest for an unforgettable encounter with these huge solitary primates. Many other primates and a phenomenal number of birds can be seen within the forests.
The Queen Elizabeth National Park, with the ice-covered peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop is another area well worth a visit with its beautiful areas of forest, open savannah and small lakes. Within the park you find herds of elephant, giraffe, many types of antelope and hundreds of species of birds. Uganda is one of Africa's most exciting bird watching locations. There are approximately 1000 species, including some that are extremely rare.
Further to the north are the Murchisson Falls, on the River Nile, here you can take a boat ride approaching the foot of the waterfall where you will experience the awesome thundering of the falls and sprayed by the cool mist. This National Park, too, has lion, antelope, zebra, giraffe and a host of smaller creatures such as warthog and baboon.
We suggest a safari by private landrover driven throughout by a highly experienced private guide who will uncover Uganda's secrets and take you to the locations where there is the best game viewing. On certain stretches of road the quality is poor, but you are rewarded by mile after mile of amazing scenery.
Why choose Rwanda?

Rwanda has a number of unique delights to offer travelers. Parc National des Volcans in the Virunga volcanoes is home to the mountain gorillas to which Dian Fossey dedicated her life. Nyungwe Forest, one of the largest montane forests in Central Africa, is renowned for its large troops of colobus monkeys and rich variety of orchids. Akagera National Park is a savannah park with elephants, hippo and crocodile. Lake Kivu is a beautiful inland sea enclosed by steep terraced hillsides. There are a large variety of birds. Rwanda has a rich culture with its second city, Butare, having one of the finest cultural museums in Africa.
