An excellent mix of tented camps and luxury lodges in both the north and south of Tanzania. This 13-day itinerary is a more comprehensive than is offered by most operators. Although there are no guarantees, we will be in the right place at the right time to see the sensational migration. Tarangire National Park — the unique acacia and baobab vegetation provides a home for over five hundred and fifty bird species, as well as lion, leopard, buffalo and large herds of elephant, gerenuk, oryx and eland. Serengeti — which contains more than three million large mammals spread over the vast endless plains and where we should encounter the breathtaking spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, where one and a quarter million wildebeest trek in columns of up to forty kilometers long in search of grazing, drawing with them their predators and numerous other species of game.

Olduvai Gorge — where the discovery of a hominid skull dating back 1.8 million years was made. Ngorongoro Crater — a large volcanic caldera is one of the natural wonders of the world and we camp on the rim from where game-viewing is almost guaranteed to turn up four of the ‘Big Five’, as well as zebra, gazelle, warthog and a rich variety of birds.
Selous Safari Camp on the Rufiji River where we will walk, game-view by boat and in open vehicles. Game highlights here also include regular sightings of wild dog, lion, giraffe and elephant.
